PROPERTIES
- OPP gas is produced by slow fumigation.
- It spreads homogeneously in closed areas.
- Its efficiency occurs after 4 hours of application; because of that, it has a long time to eliminate all harmful microorganisms.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTY
2-Phenylphenol is inhibited by the carotene synthesis of microorganisms. 2-Phenylphenol denatures the cell wall of microorganisms in an unspecified form by showing a similar antimicrobial effect with the -OH group, which is also in the other phenol derivatives. 2-Phenylphenol also shows its effect by inhibiting the cell of some enzyme systems. In addition, 2-Phenylphenol has much more lipid solubility than phenol because of the nucleus in its chemical aromatic structure. Because of that, its effect is much more powerful.
